Hafez al-Assad's Statue Burns, Like the Baathist Dictatorship

From what little I can tell it appears to me that Assad will soon fall.

From Syrian Days of Rage. These are photos from al Raqqa of a statue of former President Hafez al Assad, the one who led the Hama Massacre of 1982 killing about 20,000 people, and father of the murderer and soon to be ex-President Basher al-Assad, being burnt by the people of Free Syria.

Another video of Hafez al Assad's statue at Arraqqah being burnt.

The Syrian people will soon be free from the murderous Baathist regime. May that day come soon.

The Guardian reports on BBC Arabic making a documentary on life within al Ikhbariya, a pro-Assad TV station.

Al Jazeera columnist argues that Assad will fight till the end. What a tragedy that would be.
